Introducing...Nathan Allgood

Here’s your ticket to the wonderful world of Schools Spectacular! Follow Nathan Allgood’s exciting adventures as a featured artist in this year’s show.

Nineteen year-old Nathan Allgood seems to live and breathe music: ‘90% of what I do every day is music-related!’, he says. The jazz musician has been playing the trumpet for a long time but four years ago decided he needed something else to add into the mix. He took up singing, but it wasn’t until last year that he was given the opportunity of combining both talents into one performance, and this was the most exhilarating experience he’s had.

Finding inspiration in the young people surrounding him, he looks forward to travelling to New York next year to continue performing and studying to teach to the next generation of music performers: ‘It would be great being a high school teacher or vocal coach--I feel that I’ve learned a lot along the way and want to pass that on’.

The Talent Development Program graduate finds Schools Spectacular an amazing opportunity to meet and be surrounded by inspiring people in the performing arts industry: ‘it’s indescribable— so surreal!’ This will be his second year as a featured artist, performing four solos combining singing and trumpet-playing to jazz up that stage!
